Please forgive the in-shop style photographs but this custom butcher block is just out of finishing. It's finished with a heavy coat of butcher block wax so it'll be 100% food safe and naturally anti-bacterial.
Made by combining strips of walnut and hard maple with a mitered front face that drops down 8". It'll be used as a cutting surface at the end of a kitchen island surrounded by stone on three sides, similar to a farmhouse sink. This guy shipped to Michigan so unfortunately we don't have installed pictures but we hope this gives you an idea of how to add a little wood into your kitchen design.
