This Privacy Policy explains how J. Aaron LLC ("J. Aaron," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit jaaronwoodcountertops.com or submit a form on this site. It applies to this website only.

Information We Collect
Information you give us
We collect the information you enter when you contact us or submit one of our forms — booking a consultation, asking a question, requesting a quote, ordering samples, registering a warranty, or submitting a photograph. Depending on the form, this may include:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and company.
- Whether you work in the home building trades, and if so, your role (for example architect, designer, builder, cabinet maker, or stone countertop fabricator).
- Details about your project, such as the product you are interested in, dimensions, wood species, construction, edge profile, finish, delivery preference, and the date you need the work.
- Any notes, drawings, photographs, or other files you choose to upload.
- The page and section of the site from which you submitted the form.
You do not have to give us this information, but we need it to answer your question or prepare a quote.
Payments
If you pay an invoice online, the billing details you enter on our payment page — your name, phone number, email address, billing street address and ZIP code, your quote or invoice number, and the amount you are paying — are sent from your browser directly to Merchant e-Solutions, our payment processor.
You enter your card number on Merchant e-Solutions' own secure page, not on ours. We never receive, transmit, or store your card number, expiration date, or security code, and they do not pass through this website's servers. Merchant e-Solutions' handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy and by the payment card industry standards it is required to meet.
We do not collect bank account details, Social Security numbers, or government identification through this site.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our analytics and error-monitoring tools automatically receive limited technical information, such as the pages you view, the approximate region you are visiting from, the referring website, and general details about your browser and device. We use this to understand how the site is used and to find and fix errors.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people actually use our pages. Clarity records how you interact with the site — mouse movement, clicks, taps, and scrolling — and combines those interactions across many visitors into heat maps and session replays. It does not record your screen or your camera, and it does not capture what you type into form fields: text you enter, along with numbers and email addresses, is masked before it leaves your browser. We use this only to find parts of the site that are confusing or hard to use. Microsoft may use the data it collects as described in its own privacy statement.
We describe the specific tools below.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses the following categories.
Strictly necessary. Our staff administration area sets a session cookie when an authorized employee signs in. These cookies are required for the site to function securely and are not used for advertising.
Analytics. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, sets cookies (including _ga and related identifiers) that help us understand how visitors find and use the site. Vercel Web Analytics also measures page views and specific actions on the site — for example, when a consultation request is submitted — but does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies so it can tell one visit from another. Some are first-party cookies set by this site (_clck and _clsk, which hold a pseudonymous identifier and tie a session's interactions together). Others are third-party cookies set by Microsoft (including MUID, CLID, and SM), which Microsoft also uses to recognize a browser across its own services, including for advertising purposes of its own. We do not receive advertising data from Microsoft and we do not use Clarity to advertise to you.
Your preferences. When you dismiss our cookie notice, the site records that choice in your browser's local storage under jaaron:consent. This is stored only in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and exists solely so the notice does not reappear on every visit.
We do not run advertising pixels on this site and we do not use any of these cookies to target advertising to you. As noted above, Microsoft's own third-party cookies may still be used by Microsoft for its purposes, which are governed by its privacy statement rather than this one.
Your choices about cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser stops Microsoft's cross-site cookies described above, and Microsoft describes its own controls in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Because dismissing our notice is only an acknowledgement, it does not change what the site loads.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your question, prepare a quote, schedule a consultation, or fulfill your request.
- Communicate with you about your project or an order in progress.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve this website.
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Unless you ask us not to, we may occasionally contact you about products, services, or promotions we think may interest you. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We share information only as follows:
- With service providers who operate this site and our business on our behalf, and who are permitted to use the information only to provide those services. These currently include Vercel (website hosting, file storage, and web analytics), Supabase (database hosting), Resend (transactional and notification email), Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), Sentry (error monitoring), Microsoft (Clarity heat maps and session replay), and Merchant e-Solutions (payment processing).
- To fulfill your request, for example with a shipping carrier when we send samples or deliver an order.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of J. Aaron, our customers, or others.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep the information you submit for as long as we need it to respond to you and to maintain a record of our work together, and afterward for as long as required by our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Analytics data is retained according to the settings we configure in the services described above. You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
Your Rights and Choices
You may, at any time:
- Ask what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete information we hold about you.
- Opt out of future marketing contact.
- Raise a concern about how we handle your information.
To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this Policy. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy laws. If you would like to exercise such a right, contact us and tell us which law you are relying on, and we will respond as that law requires.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you submit. This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, files you upload are stored privately rather than publicly, and access to submitted information is limited to employees and service providers who need it to do their jobs.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
This site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Sites
This site contains links to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page.
